Sarupi Dalal was the eldest daughter of Tau Hari Ram, who was born in 1928 in the village Mehandipur. She was married in very early age of 14 years with Ch. Rawat Singh Malik of village Kharawar, who retired from Education Department of Haryana. She was hard working and made all efforts to provide best possible education to her children for which shifted from Kharawar to Rohtak. It was her dedication and sacrifice that her all the children are highly educated and well settled in their life. She was so much accommodating and helpful that many cousins of her children and relatives stayed with her for education at Rohtak. She was very caring and always smiling in any odd situation. She very gracefully welcomed and looked after all the relatives as well as visitors coming to Rohtak for various purposes like medical treatment, education, official work or social functions at her residence. She left for her heavenly abode on 02nd of March, 2014 after attaining the age of 92 years.
The couple was blessed with three sons and two daughters. The eldest daughter, Kanta is married and settled in Delhi. Her second child was a son, Shyam Singh who had four daughters, from which two of them are doctors but he has left for heavenly abode in April 2008 and his family is settled at Rohtak. Her third child a son, Sunder died at a young age. Her next child a daughter, Rajbala is married to Dr. Dharampal Singh, who was a Scientist in HAU, Hissar and after retirement now settled at Rohtak.
The youngest child a son, Shamsher Singh after Engineering from Patiala joined Indian Coast Guard, an Armed Force in Defence. He has retired as Deputy Inspector General and now settled in Gurugram. He was an outstanding swimmer and now enjoys playing Golf. His elder son is an MBA and employed in Standard Chartered Bank. The younger child is a daughter who graduated in Economics (Hons) and PGDM from IIM Lucknow and now working in Deloitte. She also likes playing golf like her father.
