Dilbag Singh was born in the village in 1947. He spent his early childhood in the village and his Dadi loved him very much. The love was so close that many times, Dadi used to accede to his unreasonable demands also. As he grew, he was shifted to Hissar for better studies. This shift from a village life to a township probably did not match his mind set to pick up with studies and thus could not go beyond 7th standard. But he was very energetic and had excellent IQ. Therefore, it was thought that Army would be a better preposition. So he joined Indian Army in EME core and qualified a series of trainings / tests / exams etc. He enjoyed his stay in defence force and soon rose up to JCO rank. But because of lack of academic qualification could not get commission.
In the childhood he was very naughty and short tempered but very fond of playing games. He loved flying kites, which was his, most liked hobby. He used to forget everything else even food while flying kites during holidays. He also got hurt on a number of occasions while chasing them.
After joining the Indian Army, he was married on 30.06.1971 to Sheela of Malik Gotra from Bhainswal village. Sheela Devi is Matriculate and a trained PTI. The couple has 5 daughters in quick succession, out of which the eldest one expired at a very young age. This tragedy in his growing family created a set-back and changed his life, which increased his alcohol intake from occasional for joy to regular in sorrow. Still he kept fighting with the situation and after leaving Army he joined service in technical wing of Escorts Ltd. at Faridabad on a handsome salary.
However, after some time, he was not happy with such type of life and left the service. Finally, he decided to stay home (in the village) and started leading a simple life, and devoting more time to his family members. On the fateful day, Dilbagh went to Bahadurgarh for some domestic affairs but left the family members with pain and sorrow due to his untimely death.
After the death of first girl child, he was more attached with his eldest daughter (Jyoti) who is serving in Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital Delhi. The next daughter Rubi is married to Ravi and working as a teacher in Police School Maduban. Kiran is married to Kapil and working in Computer Science section of Haryana Police Department and the youngest Poonam is married to Deepak and serving in Haryana Police Department.
