Tai Dakho, the wife of Tau Kanhaya Lal, was from village Gopalpur from Dahiya Gotra. Her father Chaudhary Gordhan Singh was a sober man and a good farmer. Her mother died at a young age, so Dakho had to take full charge of domestic family affairs at a very young age which she continued to do even after her marriage. Dakho was well versed in domestic jobs and other worldly affairs. She was a great asset to her husband. Dakho was very hardy and wise woman, always smiling & would not be provoked. Tai Dakho proved a very good and reliable life partner for Kanhaya who was always given good advice and cared for well. This was one great reason for good health and long life of Kanhaya. She maintained a buffalo until she expired on 28th March, 1988.
The couple was blessed with two daughters and two sons. The elder child and daughter Ram Kaur, died young a few years after her marriage. The second daughter Bhagwani, was married to an army personal from village Beri. The elder son Sube was in Indian AirForce and the younger Bhoop Singh was in Indian Army, who is now no more.
